We don't partner with any particular hotels in San Francisco but we do have a few listed below that patients have used before. Most patients end up booking a place through Airbnb or VRBO because you get a bit more space than a hotel room. When looking at areas in San Francisco, it makes more sense to book something closer to our office (45 Castro Street) as opposed to the location where you are having surgery since you will be coming to the office more often for your post-op appointments. Rideshare services are easily available anywhere in the city for getting to your appointments. And lastly, it is fine to book a place with stairs - it is hard to avoid in San Francisco.
